When we were founded, we were officially known as The Shore Thing Cleanout Crew LLC. As our mission grew and our reputation spread, we rebranded to the name we proudly carry today—Shore Thing Cleanout. The company began in 2013, when Chris DeTalvo set out with a vision, a pickup truck, and an A-901 license. Growing up in Wall, New Jersey, Chris always felt a deep connection to his community and a desire to give back to the place that shaped him. As a teacher devoted to serving others, he recognized an opportunity to extend that same passion beyond the classroom. Inspired by his father’s career in environmental protection, Chris built a business founded on reliability, integrity, and a commitment to doing meaningful work.

In 2017, Chris married Shaylyn, and together they transformed Shore Thing Cleanout into a true family business. With their shared values of hard work, organization, and community service, they brought new structure and vision to the company. Their teamwork led to the purchase of their first dump truck—a milestone that marked the beginning of steady growth and expansion. What started as one truck and a big dream has evolved into a thriving operation with a full fleet of vehicles, capable of handling any junk removal need with professionalism and care.

As parents, Chris and Shaylyn are passionate about building a better future—not just for their family, but for their community and the environment. Their business philosophy centers on recycling, donating, and reducing waste whenever possible. Every job is approached with the goal of minimizing environmental impact while maximizing positive change. They believe that sustainability and service go hand in hand, and they actively teach these values to their children, hoping to inspire the next generation to make a difference.
